Linda Kafka, WELL AP, CAPS is one of Canada’s leading experts in inclusive design, specializing in environments that adapt to aging and progressive conditions. As a strong advocate for "Living in Place," she champions emotionally supportive spaces that enhance well-being and human connection.
Linda authored the Adaptiv Home™ Training Manual for the Canadian Home Builders Association and founded the NeuroDesign Academy, an education platform empowering designers to integrate health-focused, emotion-centered principles. Trained in biometrics—including eye tracking, facial expression analysis, and galvanic skin response (GSR)—she applies these tools to research how people emotionally and physiologically respond to the built environment.
A sought-after speaker and industry leader, Linda also serves on the board of theHAPI.org (The Human Architecture and Planning Institute), a nonprofit dedicated to researching how the built environment impacts human health and well-being, with the goal of improving design outcomes.
