🎓 2025 ALC Senior Living Design Scholarship

Presented by the Ageless Living Collaborative, sponsored by Samuelson Furniture

The Ageless Living Collaborative (ALC) is pleased to open applications for the 2025 ALC Senior Living Design Scholarship. Sponsored by Samuelson Furniture, this scholarship aims to support students who are passionate about designing environments that enhance the lives of older adults.

We’re awarding two scholarships of $5,000 each to exceptional interior design students who demonstrate commitment, creativity, and care for aging populations.

Deadline to Apply:

Monday, November 3, 2025 at 12:00 PM (ET)

Scholarship applies to: Spring Semester 2026 tuition (funds paid directly to recipient’s institution)

✅ Eligibility & Requirements

This opportunity is open to undergraduate and graduate interior design students studying at accredited institutions in the United States.

You will be asked to submit:

  • Full name and contact information

  • Current and permanent address

  • Date of birth

  • School and personal email, phone number

  • Student ID

  • Major and GPA (weighted/unweighted if applicable)

  • Anticipated graduation date

  • College or university name and address

  • Total credit hours required, completed, and currently enrolled

  • Current course list with credits

  • Professional affiliations and/or extracurriculars

  • Special certifications

  • Internship history (if any)

📄 Required Documents

Please have the following ready to upload with your submission:

  • Official Transcript

  • Up to 2 Letters of Recommendation (professor, advisor, employer, etc.)

  • 500-word Student Essay addressing:

  • What will your impact be in the senior living design field?

  • Your personal goals and objectives

  • Why you chose this career path

  • Why this scholarship is important to you

  • Short Biography (150 words max)

  • High-Resolution Headshot

⚠️ Incomplete applications will not be considered. All required documents must be submitted by the deadline. Missing files or unanswered required questions will result in automatic disqualification.

Please submit your application well in advance of the deadline to avoid technical difficulties. Late submissions will not be accepted.
